We’ve all been waiting eagerly for Demon Slayer Season 2 for quite sometime now.
Kimetsu no Yaiba season 1 has been amazing and many considered it as the best anime of the year. It’s obvious that the fans of the show want to know whether there will be Demon Slayer season 2 or not. Looking at the success and popularity of season 1, there is no denying that it deserves to get another season.
Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Release
Demon Slayer season 1 premeired in 2019 and became an absolute favourite. It mesmerised the viewers and created a huge fan base. Originally a Japanese manga series, written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge, it later got adapted by Ufotable into an amine and aired in Japan from April to September 2019. Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the first season had 26 episodes and was a favourite in the anime world.
Demon Slayer Season 2 will be released on October 16, 2020, because the next arc of Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba is coming out as a movie, titled Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Train Arc, which will be released in Fall 2020.
In February 2020, the Demon Slayer franchise sold more than 40.3 million copies including its digital versions and Demon Slayer became one of the best-selling manga series. Meanwhile, TV Anime series has also received appraisal and critical acclaim and fans loved the animation and fight sequences.
Demon Slayer Season 2 Release Date
Looking at the ongoing Pandemic, there is no doubt about its affect on the Japanese anime industry as well. As a consequence, lots of anime shows have been delayed. We are not quite sure if that has affected Demon Slayer or not.
However, if the production or voice dubbing was underway, it would have halted. As a result, the movie which was coming out this year might have to be postponed as well. We will keep you posted with more updates ahead!
Another thing to worry about is the news that Ufotable, the studio which produced this show, owes more than 4 billion yen tax.
No official details about the movie or Demon Slayer season 2 is out yet. So, we will have to wait to see how the things unfold.
Kimetsu no Yaiba ‘Demon Slayer’ Season 2 Characters
The main cast from season 1 that are accepted to return for Demon Slayer season 2 includes Yasuke Hashibira, Nezuko Kamado, Kanao Tsuyari, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Tanjiro Kamado, Genya Shinazuguwa.
We can also get to see new characters too but nothing is confirmed yet.
Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 – Plot
We are quite positive that there will be a Demon Slayer season 2. However, the wait for the second season might be long. So far there is no official confirmation regarding the second season of the show. It could take a year or if already in production, we can expect it to be out soon.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, which translates into Blade of Demon Destruction is an adaptation of a manga series written by Koyoharu Gotōge. The series follows a young boy Tanjiro Kamado, who after his dad’s death starts selling charcoal to sustain his family.
The story takes a dramatic turn after he finds his family slaughtered and his sister turned into a demon. He sets on a journey to avenge his family and find a cure for his sister.
The plot follows Tanjiro Kamado when he seeks help from Ginyu, a demon slayer who recruits Tanjiro. The anime focuses around his journey and encounters while seeking a cure for his sister and slaying the demons.
Kimetsu no Yaiba aired first on April 6, 2019, on Tokyo MX. Later it was broadcasted on GTV, GYT, BS11, and other Japanese television stations.
Soon Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train would soon be hitting the big screen. The movie will revolve around Rengoku, which has got all the fans pumped up!
