One Punch Man Season 3 is a Japanese webcomic by artist One, which was released in 2009 and gained a massive popularity. It crossed more than 7 million hits in July and was adapted in a manga series as well as an anime series.
What started as a webcomic gained huge appreciation and went on to become one of the most hyped anime of recent times.
One Punch Man anime series aired in Japan between October 2015 to December 2015.
The English dubbed version of the series premiered in United States on July 2016, to October 2016. The anime renewed for a second season, which aired from April 2019 to July 2019. Both seasons are now streaming on Netflix.
One punch man had been one of the most loved anime in the last five years since its release. Although its second season was released after a long wait of three years.
Looking at the above gap between its previous seasons, people had a lot of doubt about OPM Season 3 release.
One Punch Man Season 3 Release Date?
There has been no official information regarding the OPM season 3 release. Fans were in view that, the third season would release before the fall 2020.
However, given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is unlikely. The current situation has lead to temporary shutdown of Japanese anime industry too and halted the production and dubbing.
Fans were positive earlier that the anime would be released in 2020 itself, even though there was no official announcement. However, after the pandemic hit, a lot of anime and shows were derailed from the schedule.
One Punch Man season 3 release will get delayed until the crisis is overcomed. Thus, nothing can be confirmed yet as to when we will One Punch Man season 3 release, but we can root for a 2021 premiere.
One Punch Man Season 3 Spoilers, Trailer?
The anime follows the story of titular character Saitama, the most powerful superhero in the world who can kill anyone with a blow! As, nothing can challenge him, he struggles with ennui and depression.
In a city of criminals and super villans, Saitama is determined to become a superhero. Saitama and his disciple Genos join the Hero Association, to be recognized as heroes after they defeat the evil.
Their hard work pays off and he end up becoming so powerful that he is able to defeat any enemy with a punch. Saitama soon gets bored fighting the enemies as he is too strong for everyone.
There has been no spoilers about what One Punch Man season 3 will bring, but if we follow the manga, we may see a war between the Hero Association and the Monster Association.
If the predictions of war is true, OPM season 3 is surely going to be action packed and we can’t wait for all the fighting and action scenes.
Rumors are that the series might also put Garou against Saitama, but we don’t have any specific news. No official trailer has been released as of yet but you can enjoy some fan made trailers here and there.
One Punch Man Season 3 Cast
The lead characters of the anime show will be returning for the third season too, including Saitama, Genos, and S-Class Superheroes like Blast, Tornado, Bang, Kamikaze, Child Emperor, Metal Knight, King, Zombieman, Drive Knight, Pig God, Flashy Flash and many more.
In the last season, many new characters were introduced, such as hunter Garou and the martial artist Surya. We also see genes and Saitama making friends with King and Fubuki. A new season may bring some more new faces too. But, nothing is official yet.
One Punch Man Plot
In the previous season, the so-called monster association is planning to declare war against humanity and have abducted senior officials in-hero association, itself.
Monsters have started hunting down heroes and sending out dragons.
Amidst of all this, Garou, the self-proclaimed monster even arises and takes down many S class heroes.
In OPM season 3, we may finally see One punch man taking on the monster.
