What is Tonikaku Kawaii?
Tonikaku Kawaii or Fly Me to the Moon is a Japanese manga series. Tonikaku Kawaii was written by Kenjiro Hata and also illustrated by Kenjiro Hata. The manga was published by Shogakukan in 2018 in the Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine and is still ongoing. The manga has about 17 volumes.
Tonikaku Kawaii was adapted as an animated series in 2020. The show was directed by Hiroshi Ikehata, written by Kazuho Hyodo and the studio was Seven Arcs.Tonikaku Kawaii is a romantic comedy, science fiction and slice of life genre based anime.There are about 12 episodes excluding OVA. The show talks about the problems and pleasures the people in committed and married relationships go through. It portrays how love is found in the most mysterious ways.

Tonikaku Kawaii Season 1 Story So Far
Tonikaku Kawaii is a story based on old-school love.
The story begins with a winter night in Japan. The girls believed spending their lives with one man rather than dating several.
The main characters Nasa Yuzaki and Tsukasa Tsukoyomi get married using a love form.
But the twist is, they didn’t try dating before marriage. Nasa Yuzaki faced a severe accident on his way to a school entrance exam and was saved by Tsukasa.They both fell in love at first sight.
Nasa confessed his love to Tsusuka because he was crazy about her but because of the rule that girls didn’t date, Tsusuka and Nasa had to get married.
Tsuzuka saw true love in Nasa’s eyes so she agreed on becoming his girlfriend but they had to get married first. Nasa decided to leave school and build his career for Tsusuka and years later they both got married.
Tonikaku Kawaii Season 1 beautifully portrays the ups and downs and Tsuzuka and Nasa’s life journey until they got married. In the end, it is realized by the protagonists how their love has evolved and how much it has changed them since they first met.

Yuzaki Nasa
Nasa was constantly teased because of his name as it was similar to the space agency NASA, although his parents made it clear that it meant the starry sky.
Later in the story, he met with a horrible accident and was saved by a girl named Tsukasa. It was love at first sight.
Nasa’s feelings for Tsukasa grew and he declared his love for her on the bus stop. When Tsukasa placed her marriage condition, Nasa said yes without thinking.
Moving forward, we can see Nasa’s hard work and devotion towards Tsuzaka and the relationship.
Yuzaki Tsukasa
Tsuzaka is the female lead of the series Tonikaku Kawaii. She saves Nasa from the horrible accident and later Nasa confesses her love towards her.
Tsukasa realizes that Nasa’s love comes from a true place and places her marriage-condition to which Nasa agrees unthinkably.
She is constantly compared with Princess Kaguya throughout the series, later on, it is revealed that she is a daughter of a character from the story.
Arisugawa Kaname
Kaname is a supporting character and is Nasa’s junior and took care of Arisagawa public bathhouse.
Arisugawa Aya
Aya is a supporting character and Nasa’s classmate who had feelings for him.
Charlotte

Meanwhile, Nasa is working hard to get food on the table. They both had their energies focused on making the relationship work that their health started degrading.
Tsukasa quickly caught Nasa’s red face and tried to help him. Tsukasa started taking care of Nasa by feeding him soup and looking after his health.
To which Nasa was very grateful and feeling blessed to Tsukasa in his life. Nasa thanked Tsukasa and made her feel comfortable.
That night, they both slept in the same bed and cuddled.
Later on, The couple attended the summer festival and Season 1 ended with them enjoying their lives. Tsukasa and Nsa watch the fireworks, the sunset and realize that they are made for each other.
