Yuri on Ice is a Japanese anime series which was directed by Sayo Yamamoto and Jun Shishido.

The series was written by Sayo Yamamoto and Mitsurō Kubo and the studio was MAPPA.

Yuri on Ice is a Sports (figure skating) genre based anime.

There are 12 episodes excluding the OVA in the series. Yuri on Ice started in October, 2016 and finished in December, 2016.

Yuri on Ice Season 1 Story So Far 

Yuuri Katsuki is confused about his career when he loses the Grand Prix Final and returns to his hometown.

His friend, Yuko uploads a video of Yuuri figure skating and it catches Victor’s eye, who agrees to coach him.

Later on, Yuri Plisetsky also comes in to seek coaching from Victor. Victor makes both of them compete as he couldn’t coach both of them.

Yuuri Katsuki wins and Victor becomes his coach. Moving forward, Yuuri and Victor start getting affectionate feelings towards each other but Yuuri can’t make a decisive move.

Yuuri participates in the Grand Prix Final and wins a silver and decides to move in Victor so that he could stay with him and continues his training.
