The British historical TV drama series, Victoria, premiered its third season in US and UK in 2019. Since then, no official announcements have been made regarding Victoria Season 4.
The show depicts the early life of Queen Victoria, from her uprising to the throne at an early age of eighteen, to her love life and marriage to Prince Albert.
While some were positive about Victoria Season 4, many predicted the season might get canceled, due to low ratings of season 3. However, based on official statements made by its cast and crew, we are quite hopeful for a new season.

When is Victoria Season 4 release date?
Daisy Goodwin, the writer for the show has confirmed working on the plot of Victoria season 4 and we are overwhelmed about it. Writer Goodwin spoke excitedly about the return of the show for a fourth time.
Dropping off a spoiler, she has disclosed, there will be a death in the show.
Fans are coming up with a theory that it will be Prince Albert, as he didn’t live past the age of 42, and in season 3, he is already aged around 30.
Daisy spoke to Digital Spy and said : ”I am working on series four at the moment and that’s going to be an absolute humdinger, because…. well, you can go to Wikipedia to find out!”
Revealing, a tragedy will strike the Royals, she goes on to add ”Somebody dies and someone new comes on the scene, so there is a lot to play with there. I’ve really got back into it and am really enjoying writing it.”
Building up the excitement, She talked about Victoria’s longevity, “There is so much more to tell, and even [Victoria’s] deathbed was the most fantastic drama of all time,”
The show usually begun in August, however, it broke that pattern in 2019 by beginning in March.
Considering the previous release schedule and delays in productions due to Covid-19, ‘Victoria’ Season 4 release may get pushed to sometime in 2021.
However, a confirmed date has not been communicated yet.
Victoria Season 4 Cast ?
Although, we don’t have an official confirmation about the cast yet, the fourth season might star Jenna Coleman as Queen Victoria, Tom Hughes as Prince Albert, Laurence Fox as Lord Palmerston, Kate Fleetwood as Feodora (Victoria’s sister) and John Sessions as Prime Minister, John Russell in lead roles.
Daisy Goodwins, while talking about the show in an interview, has indicated a tragic story making the fourth season the darkest season of all.
Will Jenna Coleman continue to play Victoria?
The question about Jenna’s cast in the Victoria series has been arising ever since her interview with Digital Spy.
As she told in the interview : “You see me on screen now with seven children but she is only 30, so I’m only just playing 30, 31, now.” “But obviously there’s definitely going to be a point where [I need] four hours in make-up. That’s going to be a really heartbreaking thing.”
While Jenna says she would love to portray an older Victoria, the chances of the recast are high in the future. But for now, she will be back for Victoria season four, although this could be her last series.

What to Expect from Victoria Season 4?
As the third season of the series concluded with Prince Albert collapsing to the floor of Palace, the entryway for the release of another season, has been left wide open.
By this scene, Daisy Goodwin might be indicating at his death, but that proposes something contradicting to the real history where Prince Albert didn’t die until 1861, which is ten years after in the show.
There is a high possibility that the show will be leaping, within which Victoria’s last children, Prince Leopold and Princess Beatrice, will be born.
Sources indicated that Coleman and Tom Hughes might terminate their roles and their characters may get recast to older actors as they are too young for upcoming events.
