Who is Gojo Satoru?

Gojo Satoru is one of main protagonists of the hit Japanese series Jujutsu Kaisen.

Gojo Satoru is a teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Gojo Satoru is the strongest known special grade jujutsu sorcerer in the Jujutsu Kaisen world.

In the Japanese series Jujutsu Kaisen, we can see Gojo Satoru as a super powerful human who rivals the King of Curses, Sukuna throughout.

It is Gojo Satoru’s duty as a jujutsu sorcerer to relieve the word from the cursed spirits and presences. 

What is Jujutsu Kaisen?

Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series.

Gege Akutami has written and also illustrated Jujutsu Kaisen. Since 2018, the Japanese manga series has been printed in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump.

Shueisha collects the chapters and publishes Jujutsu Kaisen. Since June 2021, about sixteen tankobon volumes have been released. 

Jujutsu Kaisen was adapted as an anime in 2020 and is still ongoing.

The series is directed by Sunghoo Park, written by Hiroshi Seko and the studio is MAPPA. The series is an adventure, dark fantasy and supernatural genre based anime.

Gojo Satoru is the strongest Jujutsu sorcerer in the anime series Jujutsu Kaisen.

Yuichi Nakamura is the japanese voice actor of the character Gojo Satoru and Kaiji Tang is the english voice actor of the character Gojo Satoru. 

Gojo Satoru was born on 7th December in 1989.

After Gojo’s birth there was a power shift and since then there has been a bounty on his head.

Gojo Satoru can be seen being called as Gojo-sensei, Gojo-san, Satoru-kun or the strongest sorcerer in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Currently, Gojo Satoru is a teacher at Jujutsu High and he is a Monster Slayer type of Hero.

The strongest sorcerer is known as such because of his powerful abilities like Flight, Gravity Manipulation, Master Combatant, Power Nullification and so on in a list of many.

His main goal is to reconstitute the Jujutsu society. Gojo Satoru’s friends and allies like Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki and many more contribute towards his goal.

Although his enemies like Sukuna, Pseudo-geto, Mahito and so on are constant hindrances that Gojo wants to remove.

Gojo Satoru has an immense amount of curse energy inside him.

This energy allows him to use Domain Expansion multiple times in a single day.

Normally, Domain Expansion can be used once in a day by normal sorcerers. Gojo Satoru keeps his curse energy in control and activates Domain Expansion within a second, makes use of reverse curse techniques and also easily combines positive and negative cursed energies.

In the Gojo Family, Gojo Satoru is the first in four hundred to have both abilities, the Six Eyes and the Limitless cursed technique.

Gojo Satoru uses the Reverse Cursed Technique to heal himself. The sorcerer perfected this technique after fighting with Toji Fushiguro.

Gojo Satoru makes positive energy flow into Infinity which gives him access to Red and Hollow Purple attacks. However, Gojo Satoru cannot heal others unlike Sukuna and Shoko.

Gojo Satoru usus the Balck Flash technique to create spatial distortion whenever someone comes into the impact of cursed energy. 

Gojo Satoru’s Limitless ability derived from the Gojo Family allows him to have absolute control over space.

He is able to do this because of the huge amount of cursed energy present inside him.

Infinity is the neutral form of Limitless and also means the ability to stop.

When something is about to hit Gojo Satoru, the object hits Infinity. 

Other superpowers in an endless list include: Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue, Cursed Technique Lapse Maximum Cursed Energy Output: Blue, Cursed Technique Reversal: Red, Hollow Technique: Purple, Curtain, Unlimited Void and Six Eyes.

Gojo Satoru Personality 

Gojo Satoru is usually portrayed to be calm and playful towards his friends and allies.

However, he is cruel and shows no sympathy towards sorcerer executives.

Gojo Satoru is extremely proud of his abilities and is totally confident whenever he uses one of them. Gojo Satoru constantly desires power which can make him arrogant at times. 

Satoru Gojo vs Sukuna

Satoru Gojo vs Sukuna takes place early on in the anime series.

The battle is only 10 seconds long and it takes place because Gojo Satoru wants to test if Yuji Itadori could act as Sukuna’s vessel.

Gojo Satoru’s student wants to show off as his student is present there so he easily knocks down Sukuna with his immense power and skills.

After 10 seconds, Yuji takes back control of his body and Satoru gets impressed by Yuji’s ability to control Sukuna.

The Shibuya Arc is the eighth arc in the series Jujutsu Kaisen. The arc is mainly based on an alliance formed between cursed spirits and cursed users. The minds behind this incident were Mahito and Pseudo-Geto and their motives were to seal Gojo Satoru.

Gojo Satoru has inherited the Six Eyes from the Gojo Family.

This ability helps him have the ability to utilize other abilities like Limitless to their maximum.
